Community Service
Students have from July 1st - March 1st to complete all hours.

As part of your child’s confirmation preparation, thirty (30) hours of community service is required in both 7th & 8th grades. As a Confirmed Catholic they are taking the responsibility of their own faith, by doing community service hours is a way they can live out their faith.

We are asking that prior to bringing your child to the event, if you could please go over a few items with them as follows:

  • No Cell Phones are Permitted. If your child has a cell phone, they will be asked to keep it on silent in their pockets or it will be placed in the cell phone basket.
  • Please have your child dress weather appropriate depending on the venue of the event.
  • Appropriate and discreet attire as this is a Catholic function. No inappropriate logo, no ripped pants or shirts, nothing short and/or revealing. Please use your best judgment.
  • Students should come with a respectful and conscientious work ethic.
  • Please make sure your child checks in and out with the event coordinator.
  • Please make sure your child has their Community Service Log sheet signed at the time of the event.

Your anticipated cooperation is deeply appreciated as I am sure it will help avoid any misunderstandings and/or conflicts. If a situation should arise, the coordinator of the event will be contacting you to come pick your child.

Please use this table as a reference guide when selecting service hours.  If it is not on this list, the hours will not be approved.
